Innovation In Aviation School Holiday Program

Location:

Brisbane

Cost:

$120

How do you think the way we fly is going to change in the next 100 years?

Humans have continued to push the boundaries of flight since the Wright Brothers first flew in 1903. From fabric biplanes to supersonic jets, spacecraft, flying boats, and jumbo jets, our world has seen staggering advancements in the flying experience over the past century, and as we look to the next 100 years, it doesn't look like we're going to slow down any time soon!

Today, airlines are exploring how they can embrace sustainable practices to decrease their environmental impact, airports are researching how metaverse technologies might enhance the passenger experience, and air traffic control are working to understand how artificial intelligence might help them better manage the increasing number of flights taking to the skies.

The Innovation In Aviation school holiday program with Aviation Australia will see students tackling a range of challenges as they explore how emerging aviation innovations such as vertical takeoff and landing aircraft, low orbit space travel, and hydrogen powered planes are changing the way we fly now and into the future.

Over the course of this two day program, students will be participating in hands-on challenges, hearing from guest speakers from the aviation industry, and touring the Aviation Australia aircraft maintenance hanger and flight safety training facilities as they design and develop their own future flying innovations to move passengers around the world in the next 100 years. Students will then conclude the program by presenting their ideas to a panel of aviation experts for judging, consideration, and for their chance to win some prizes!

With a focus on big-picture thinking, creative solutions and hands-on experiences, this is a great opportunity for young innovators and aviators to come together as they explore the exciting opportunities emerging in the aviation industry.

Who It's For:
