Inspired by Volkswagen’s The Fun Theory, the Community Creators unit challenges students to design engaging and impactful solutions for local community challenges. Using a design thinking approach, students will work in teams, take on specific roles, and apply creative problem-solving to develop real-world solutions that drive positive change.
Throughout the unit, students will explore user-centred design, localising global ideas, and developing minimum viable products (MVPs) to test their concepts. They will refine their solutions through market research, storytelling, and branding, culminating in a final pitch presentation to showcase their innovative ideas.
Topics Covered:
The Fun Theory & Behaviour Change
User-Centred Design & Empathy Mapping
Creative Ideation & Rapid Prototyping
