The Designed Spaces program empowers students to use design thinking and user-centred design frameworks to reimagine and create innovative learning spaces for the future. With a focus on technology, sustainability, and inclusivity, students will critically examine how school environments can be transformed to meet the needs of future learners.

Throughout this 10-week program, students will explore trends in architecture and design, assess real-world case studies, and apply prototyping and digital modelling techniques to bring their ideas to life. They will refine their concepts based on user research, feedback, and feasibility assessments, culminating in a final pitch presentation where they showcase their proposed learning spaces.

Topics Covered:

  • User-Centred Design & Empathy Mapping

  • Sustainable & Environmentally Friendly Spaces

  • Integrating Emerging Technologies in Design

  • Aesthetic & Functional Design Principles

  • Prototyping & 3D Modelling for Spatial Planning

  • Pitching & Presenting Design Solutions
