Mental Health Hackathon

Building Youth-Led Mental Health Solutions For Our Community

Themes:

Length:

About The Program

The Mental Health Hackathon is a unique program designed to empower students to take action and find innovative solutions to improve youth mental health within their communities. Throughout the program, students work collaboratively in teams to generate a series of youth-led solutions that could be integrated into their school, community, or digital world.

The challenges include a school-based program, a digital tool, and a supportive community space. Throughout the program, students learn about the organisations contributing to supporting mental health in young people before embarking on a design-sprint to generate their own solutions.

In the program, students dive deep into user-centred design, tackling important mental health topics, exploring youth perspectives, engaging in digital prototyping, and delving into the intricacies of interior space design. Additionally, it provides a valuable opportunity for students to connect with mental health professionals, gaining valuable insights and advice to aid in the development of their innovative solutions.
